Dear MWHDA Members,

At its inception, MWHDA was formed as a volunteer parent organization with the goal of hosting 1-2 competitions per year in the greater-Detroit area. Through the years, many parents and teachers have contributed both physically and materially to keep the MWHDA going strong. This is a volunteer organization, and it is only through the efforts of our parents and teachers that we can continue to host competitions and other events for our dancers.

We welcome you to join us for our 2009 fall competition which will be held in beautiful Chelsea, MI.  Competition success is always our goal, but to obtain this we need volunteers.  We are always welcoming new volunteers and have been blessed with very supportive teachers, parents and even extended family members of dancers!  If you'd like to volunteer please contact Lisa Jerome, our Funraiser Chairperson.

How can you help? Here are just a few of the ways our members can provide support:

1) Volunteer your time and energy before, during, or after the competition.

2) Purchase a trophy ($50) or a medal set ($35) for the competition. Medals and trophies are the most expensive part of our competition.   Cash donations of ANY size are always accepted.

3) Sell or buy an advertisement in our program. Ads are also considered donations. Do you know anyone who owns a business? Do you own a business yourself? This is an easy way to support us AND promote your business to our 400 attendees.

Business Size: $25
½ Page Ads : $50
Full Page Ads: $100
Happy Ad: $3

We all want to see MWHDA continue to thrive and provide great competitive events for years to come. We need your help to make it happen.

Sincerely,

The MWHDA Board

 Lynn Thomas - President

Erin Hill - Vice President

Joan Campbell - Secretary

Jill Gordon - Treasurer

Sheila Mittig - Teacher Advisor

Amy Craig - Competition Organizer
